KHCC’s principal office shall be in North Kohala, Island of Hawai’i, State of Hawai’i

Purpose: Is to actively participate in the promotion, perpetuation and preservation of traditional Hawaiian values that dignify, honor and respect all life in support of the Native Hawaiian.

Objectives Are:

  • Advocate in educational, environmental, civic, economic, social, health and well being concerns of the Native Hawaiian and the community at large.

  • To provide a forum for the full and free discussion of all matters of public interest, excepting those, which may be specifically, prohibited by this Constitution and By-laws.

  • To preserve and perpetuate all sources and records of the ancient traditions.

  • To actively encourage the teaching, learning and use of ‘olelo makuahine (mother tongue) the Hawaiian language.

  • To actively encourage and assist in furthering the education of those of Hawaiian ancestry.

  • To develop, nurture and inspire the Native Hawaiian to their ancestral history, cultural identity and the spiritual and traditional beliefs, customs and social practices of the Kanaka Maoli.

  • To promote the understanding of the impact to the Native Hawaiian in relationship to the diverse cultures present Hawai’i.
